Maddhayom : Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates have signed four MoUs on enhancing mutual cooperation, including higher education and research, and trade cooperation.
A bilateral meeting between UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was held with visiting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Dubai Exhibition Center on Tuesday afternoon local time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
These MoUs were signed in their presence at the end of the meeting.
Later in a briefing, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen shared the information with reporters.
Among the four MoUs are cooperation in higher education and science research; A Memorandum of Understanding between the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) and the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR); Agreement between the Foreign Service Academy of the two countries and an agreement between the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the Dubai International Chamber.
Sheikh Hasina will hold bilateral meetings with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Mother of the Nation Sheikh Fatima bin Mubarak in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister will take part in the inaugural function of the regional conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization. He is also scheduled to attend a video conference at a business forum hosted by business representatives from Bangladesh and the UAE.
Sheikh Hasina will be virtually involved in the reception of expatriate Bangladeshis living in the UAE on Friday evening local time.
He will lay the foundation stone of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Bhaban to be constructed by Bangladesh English Private School and College at Ras Al Khaimah through video conference.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home on Saturday night.
